A cast of British birds and animals designed for calm word and tile games—each able to reward, encourage and occasionally address the player.

Each character begins as a simple, recognisable drawing and is then prepared for use across still rewards, journal entries and restrained animation.

The aim is not natural-history illustration. Accuracy gives each bird its identity; expression gives it a role in the game’s small illustrated world.
